SWITCH (Supporting Women In The Community and Home)
SWITCH is a Big Lottery Funded project ran by Nacro.
The project works to support vulnerable women aged 16+ acroos Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland. The aim of the project is to support and encourage women into education, employment and/or training; along with developing confidence, self esteem and improve overall well-being.
Women can be referred into the project and access 1:1 support, group work, well-being workshops and training - all whilst being supported by friendly, confident and approachable staff team. Support can be offered within your home or community.
Our workshops include arts and crafts, self defence, personal awareness, cooking and healthy eating, gardening etc....make friends and learn new skills.
MENTORING - SWITCH also provides opportunities for women to volunteer within the project. If you are interested in volunteering to enhance the lives of women in Teesside, you will be offered full training and a level 2 qualification and ongoing support.
