SEN Support in Schools
Wednesday 30th October (10am - 12.30pm)

This session will focus upon how children with special educational needs are supported in schools and settings through the ‘Graduated Approach’ outlined in the SEND Code of Practice 0-25. It will describe a broad range of SEN support, Quality First Teaching, SEN Support Plans, Education Health and Care Plans and how parents/carers can get the most out of meetings in school.
SEND Exclusions, Medical Needs and Children Missing Education
Monday 4th November (10m - 1pm)

This session will focus upon exclusion of children with special educational needs and Equality Act 2010 protections; children with medical needs and children with Special educational needs who are not in education.
SEN Education Law
Tuesday 5th November (10am to 2.30pm)
Middlesbrough Football Club, Directors Lounge
This session will focus upon the SEND legal framework including duties on education providers; EHC needs assessments; EHC plans and requesting a school/college be named in an EHC plan in accordance with the Children and Families Act 2014.
