Free Entry for Carers to the Museum
Visitors with disabilities may admit one accompanying carer free of charge when they pay full adult/child price.
Please bring relevant proof of entitlement such as a blue badge, or a Personal Independence Payments letter (issued by the DWP benefit office).
Relaxed Openings
From April 2019 we are running a series of quiet Sunday mornings which are aimed at supporting the needs of people with autism, sensory conditions and dementia. They are times when the museum is open as usual but it is usually quieter. We will turn off additional noises and sound effects, as well as turning up lighting in darker areas. These will take place every second Sunday of the month from the 14 April, at 10 – 11am.
Relaxed Openings which take place during school and bank holidays are likely to be busier.
You do not need to book, just turn up on the day. Normal Museum admission applies.
If we are running any workshops or activities then they will be bookable and places will be limited. You can find out more by visiting our events page
