Caremark - Personal Support

Caremark logo

The children we support have a range of specialist requirements, including challenging behaviour, autism, physical disabilities, Down syndrome, non-English language, epilepsy, and ADHD.

Our short breaks provision for children and families comprises engaging, stimulating, and varied activities. We believe that short breaks shouldn’t solely be for leisure; the best outcomes are achieved when there are also aspirational and educational elements.

When identifying the activities best suited to a child or family, we encourage them to think about things they would like to achieve in life. This might be to learn a new skill, to lead a healthier life style, or simply to have a great time. Our planned short break activities are then tailored around these aspirations. The result for the people we support is that they achieve meaningful goals through their short breaks. This also benefits commissioning authorities, in that increased independence and life skills is proven to reduce long-term support needs.
