Within Cleveland we do have units that are attended by girls with additional needs,
We work with the parents to build up a good rapport between leaders and their family to ensure we do everything we can to make the member's time with guiding as enjoyable as possible.
Most units average 15-20 young members so not much larger than a school classroom, and this gives leaders the opportunity to get to know the younger members, however this doesn't always mean on a 1:1 basis.
As volunteers from all walks of life, we rely on other volunteer leaders around the county who are trained in such skills wherever there is a need for a leader to have some extra support.
