Berwick Hills Nature Reserve

Berwick Hills nature reserve is a place for exercise and relaxation, with wildflower meadows, woodlands and ponds. Ormesby Beck meanders through the nature reserve on its way to join the River Tees. The beck is flanked by tall reeds where water voles burrow in the banks and feed on waterside plants. New ponds have been created to provide a home for frogs, toads and newts.
