FASD Network Support Group (Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder)

FASD logo

This is a service that offers information, training and support groups for birth, foster, adoption, kinship families raising children with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders in Middlesbrough and South Tees areas.  We work across the North East and Yorkshire so there are opportunities to meet with many hundreds of families to share ideas, stories and experiences.

We offer termly face to face support groups so that you can build friendships with families in your local area. There is no fixed location for the support groups as we meet in various community locations across the local area.

We also have an online support group called FASD UK via Facebook that is available daily where there is peer support and you can ask questions that won't wait until a support group.

The website www.fasdnetwork.org has lots of free resources available on it so that you read up on the subject and signpost professionals who are working with your family on the subject.

You can contact us directly on www.fasdnetwork.org if you have any queries and we will reply as soon as we can.

Even if you have no service needs, please contact us and register with us to let us know you are there.  There are no commissioned services and supports for FASD and part of that is due to the lack of a centralised database identifying people with FASD.  If we know you are there, this can help us address the need for commissioned services for families raising a child with FASD.
