Children's Orthopaedics at James Cook University Hospital

Making sure that children feel safe, are comfortable and that children and their parents understand their condition, injury or illness is important to us and we make it our priority to ensure that we support children and their families through their time in hospital.

We offer a complete service covering all aspects of paediatric (childrens) orthopaedics including:

  • Cerebral palsy (helping with conditions of the joints and muscles that can be affected by cerebral palsy)
  • CTEV (club foot)
  • Developmental and blood supply problems of the hip (DDH & Legg-Calve-Perthes disease )
  • Deformity correction
  • Fractures and trauma
