musinc

musinc works with musicians, music and arts groups and organisations that support young people to:

  • develop and commission music activities
  • enable musicians and those who support young people to develop the skills they need to help young people grow and develop through music.

Our focus is on those most in need - young people (age 10 - 18 years) living in challenging circumstances in the local authority areas of Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool and Redcar and Cleveland. We believe that young people can make positive changes in their lives by getting involved in music.

We are asking a question: 'How do we ensure equity and quality in terms of the musical engagement of young people living in challenging circumstances?' Work with us. Learn with us. Help us build the answer.

Music making opportunities for Middlesbrough’s Young People

We are looking for young people aged 6-18 to join our music groups which are re-starting face to face after the COVID break.

Our programme is designed to support young people facing barriers. If you work with young people who enjoy music and you think that taking part in a music activity would support their well-being and personal development then we would be delighted to welcome them into our programme.

Activities include:

Amplify for ages 12-18

Amplify is a free performance opportunity in a welcoming and supportive space. Full details can be found here: Amplify

If you know any young people aged 12 – 18 that may want the opportunity to perform in front of a welcoming, supportive audience, this may be perfect for them!

We ask anyone who would like to perform completes this online form so we can plan the running order in advance: Amplify Performance Submission Form
