Children's Speech and Language Therapy Service
The Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) team work with all communication difficulties including specific speech and language disorders, stammering, cleft lip and palate, voice difficulties, hearing impairment, Autism, Learning Disabilities and eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties.
Children from birth to 25 with a EHCP, who have difficulties with speech, language and communication or swallowing.
Carers/parents and other professionals can also contact us to ask for support or information if they are resident or based within the Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland boundaries.

The service offers an open referral system.
Referrals can be made by doctors, health, education and social care professionals as well as carers, young people and their representatives. Referral forms are available for professionals.
Parents/carers/clients are welcome to call the office on (01642) 516780 and we will be happy to support them to self-refer.
