The Money Carer Foundation
Our informal money management services are tailored to meet the needs of vulnerable adults seeking assistance in managing their day-to-day finances, providing essential support for these tasks. This service differs from our appointeeship plans, which are specifically designed for clients assessed as incapable of managing their welfare benefit responsibilities.
In such instances, the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) appoints Money Carer to formally assume legal duties and liabilities in handling welfare benefit claims and income, fulfilling reporting obligations, and applying principles outlined in the Mental Capacity Act (2005) as required. Many clients benefiting from our informal money management plans seek the peace of mind that comes with timely bill payments and well-organized financial management, thereby promoting independence and security.
